The incident began when alarm company employees, monitoring surveillance footage, observed two men tampering with construction vehicles inside the Quinn Company Caterpillar construction equipment dealer. The intrusion was detected around 2:02 a.m., and Murrieta Police were promptly alerted, according to The Press Enterprise.

Responding officers arrived at the scene to find the suspects fleeing through the business yard to a getaway car on Date Street.
