Russian Air Defence Units Act Quickly

Russian air defense units shot down a drone near Moscow on Monday evening, according to Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov.

Drone Fragments Hit Private House

Vorobyov posted on Telegram that fragments from the drone fell onto a private house in Balashikha, a town just east of Moscow. Fortunately, no one inside the house was injured in the incident, reports Reuters.

Ministry Confirms Drone Destruction

The Russian Defence Ministry confirmed that the air defense units had destroyed what they described as a “small-scale airborne object.”

Temporary Flight Disruptions

According to the Tass news agency, aviation services redirected aircraft away from flight paths northeast of Moscow temporarily. Despite this disruption, airports in the Moscow region resumed normal operations shortly after.
