DJI OSMO 360 and DJI MIC 3 leaked. Full specification and new release date

For those who were waiting on the DJI Osmo 360 and DJI Mic 3. You’ll be satisfied to hear webshops are setting up to sell at the end of this month. Today I stumbled upon the complete webshop description and pictures of both products already online (Source known by DroneXL). So let’s first dive in that “Revolutionary 8K” Osmo 360 description and secondly look at some DJI Mic 3 images. Last but now least I will end this article with the new (updated) release date for all of this. Cheers!

DJI Osmo 360: ‘Revolutionary and innovative’

10-Bit D-Log M

Both 360° and standard videos support 10-bit color depth. The D-Log M mode enhances dynamic range, preserving details in highlights and shadows, while offering greater flexibility for color grading in post-production.

Native 8K 360° Video

The new pixel allocation scheme enables 8K 360° filming with 2.4 µm pixels and ultra-high dynamic range, comparable to professional cameras. Image quality is improved by 77% compared to standard 5.7K sensors.

Direct Microphone Connection via OsmoAudio™

Connect two DJI microphone transmitters directly to capture high-quality audio from two speakers. When the built-in mic’s audio backup function is enabled, the camera also records ambient sounds, adding authenticity to your video.  (1. DJI Mic 3 will be added to the DJI Osmo 360 launch

The DJI Osmo 360 is clearly aiming straight at the Osmo360 X5 and the Gopro Max 360. They basically copied everything from their biggest competitors in the videography industry and although I don’t know the prices yet, I’ll bet they will sell it just a little cheaper. But also, they have something else, a trick on their sleeves to (again) pull you into their ecosystem. The trick is called: We make better mics than everybody else in the game.

And just look at that. Today I also found these images today of the DJI Mic 3. Coincidence? I think not, because DJI is launching the DJI Osmo 360 and the DJI Mic simultaneously at the end of this very month. The DJI Mic 3 will only eight 11,7 grams and will be 14 mm x 28 mm x 29 mm. Let’s have a first (exclusive) leaked look:

DJI Mic Mini got upgraded to DJI Mic 3

Apparently everybody liked the DJI Mic Mini, so DJI decided to update the transmitter, receiver and charging case and update it to their new standards. I couldn’t find the full specs yet, but I am sure it will work like a dream.

DJI Osmo Nano postponed, new Osmo 360 + DJI Mic 3 release date announced

DJI insiders told me we have to wait on the DJI Osmo Nano untill at least August. But the Osmo 360 and Mic 3 will be certainly launched on July 29th 2025. I am not sure why DJI delayed this one but it’s pretty common with the Osmo Technology part of DJI to do whatever they want, whenever they want.
