Estimated read time 4 min read

Since the first rumored specs on the DJI Mavic 4 Pro, people have been excited about the possibility of an integrated electronic ND filter. But DJI kept this feature a well hidden secret. First look of the DJI Mavic 4 Electronic ND filters

A week ago pictures started to emerge of a crashed DJI Mavic 4. Somebody told me that without any warning a Mavic 4 fell out of the sky while flying over a park. The drone dropped, people heard a loud *pop* because the drone hit the street and -as seen- the gimbal was ripped clean off the drone. Interestingly, this picture also showed us the gimbal connection for the new electronic ND filter or eND DJI is trying to keep secret. You can easily recognize the copper dots on the right.

Quick Start Guide shows DJI first eND, but its delayed.

Although DJI did a great job at hiding the Electronic ND from the public (Mostly by not sending it to the influencers) they forgot to hide it from the ‘DJI Mavic 4 Creator Combo Quick Start Guide’ because it was meant to be sold with that combo. Sadly, rumor has is the eND will be delayed until later in May because of ‘technical’ issues. The manual / guide was sent to me by a little bird in the industry… so yes, at least now we do know how the new filter, one “Hasselblad eND 4-64″ – will look. Oh and before I forget. The eND wil cost around 220 USD and will also fit any ‘regular’ Mavic 4 Pro drone.

Although the new remote has already been talked about in great detail, the newly leaked manual also shows a first guide on every button and connection on the new 7-inch flip up screen. What stands out to me is that the remote doesn’t look that big in real life. I think people will get used to it pretty quick and many readers replied to my latest tweet that they have been waiting on that vertical screen option.

New DJI gimmick: no need for power buttons.

As we have seen with recently released DJI drones, such as the DJI Flip, power on/off buttons are a thing from the past. Flipping arms or screens up should be all you need to do to activate your DJI device. The DJI Mavic 4 Pro won’t be any different. The guide tells us the only thing you need to do to active your remote or drone, is to extend the right arm or flip up the screen and presto. You can start you flight. What is next, automatic flight??? Oh wait…

‘Mavic 4 Pro’ footage video leaked.

Last but not least, I would like to show you something that looks to good to be true. It’s this video of a Chinese Influencer emerged a week ago. The influencer is known to have a Mavic 4 pro and in the video is seen holding a RC Pro 2 Remote. Credits go out to the guys of the Winging it podcast. Note: I am not sure this is real, but this could actually be the first, impressive, video footage of the Mavic 4 Pro. Check it out:
