Release dates of the DJI Osmo 360, Osmo Nano and Mic 3 LEAKED

Estimated read time 4 min read

While we’re all waiting for news about the DJI Mini 5 and DJI Neo 2, I heard that July is going to be a very exciting month for everyone looking forward to the DJI Osmo 360, DJI Osmo Nano, and DJI Mic 3. Two different sources claim that all of these will be released next month. Let me walk you through the three dates:

DJI Osmo 360 first up to be released

Save the date guys, DJI will unveil the DJI Osmo 360 on July 15, 2025. That’s only five weeks away, with a possible teaser around the 8th of that month.

While I had my doubts initially, and wrote about the history DJI had chasing GoPro on action camera’s. I personally thought the entire product might even be delayed after Insta360 released their now superior Insta360 X5. Because how could DJI possibly surpass this X5? Yet, I’ve seen possible footage of the Osmo 360 where the camera quality outshines the Insta360 X5. Could DJI have pulled it off? In five weeks, we’ll know for sure!

At the moment we have not yet found specs or shop listings, but I am sure we fill find out within a couple of weeks. Release is now imminent, as OsitaLV would say.

Secondly, I want to talk about the new and first DJI Osmo Nano, the revival of the DJI Action 2. According to my sources, it will be released on July 23, 2025. There are hardly any images of the Nano yet, but FCC records (below) suggest we can expect a very small, modular design reminiscent of the DJI Action 2. Will this version avoid overheating due to high image quality? The Nano will, in any case, be presented as the new “wearable” and hopefully look a bit less boxy than its predecessor.

Another group of people that DJI might be targeting with the DJI Nano are the ‘true’ FPV flyers and builders of drones, because they are always looking to capture the best image with the smallest camera possible. I know some of you will get excited for this one. Will it be new name help combating other tiny camera’s like the Insta360 GO 3S, which is only 200 something?

Last but not least, both the DJI Osmo 360 and Nano will soon be accompanied by a ‘smaller’ DJI Mic 3. Earlier FCC files indicated that the Mic 3 package will include a new receiver with a squircle-shaped display and a charging case, but apart from the FCC files we havent found any visual proof of existence. The only thing I can conclude from the FCC Label is that the size will probably shrink to a size more like the DJI Mic Mini.

Anyhow, with the DJI Mic 2 now over a year old and the DJI Mic Mini only six months old, DJI have decided to release the new DJI Mic 3 on July 29, 2025. I’m not sure why all these products aren’t launching on the same date, but I assume DJI is still focused on releasing as many products as possible on the American market while it’s still feasible, given the unpredictable Trump situation.

Concluding release dates and coming leaks

While July is now pretty much covered with DJI Osmo releases on the 15th, 23rd and 29th … I can only press on keeping an eye on those DJI discounts we always see before new releases. If you are a not a -new product first buyer- it’s smarter to buy DJI stuff weeks before new releases. And if you are waiting on the DJI Action 6, sorry but I can already promise you it won’t be released before this summer. You are better off getting a good deal on the DJI Osmo Action 5 this summer.

That ‘ll be for today folks, always happy to bring exclusives here via the my articles on DroneXL. Next up are the DJI Avata 3, Action 6, DJI Mini 5 and DJI Neo 2. Cheers! Jasper
