The program operates with remarkable efficiency, employing drones that weigh approximately 11 pounds and are capable of transporting packages weighing up to 2.3 pounds within a six-mile radius of the participating stores. Operating hours are set from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with extended potential flying times approved by the Federal Aviation Administration during daylight hours.
