Igor Bogdanov commented, “Here are the specifications of the DJI Neo camera,” highlighting the drone’s imaging capabilities.

DroneXL’s Take

The DJI Neo represents a significant leap in drone technology, packing advanced features into a highly portable form factor. Its impressive camera specifications, extended flight time, and robust transmission system make it an attractive option for both enthusiasts and beginners.

It is important to point out the incredibly low weight of the DJI Neo, which may hinder the drone’s flying ability in breezy conditions. The specs say it can deal with up to level 4 winds. We’ll have to see how it does in real life.

Furthermore, keep in mind that this drone does not have the option for a microSD card, meaning you are limited to the 22GB onboard memory.

The DJI Neo is further limited by not offering the ability to shoot photos in RAW or DNG format.

Video recording maxes out at 75 Mbps, which is also on the low side. So, this drone will be of limited use for the more ambitious aerial photo or videographer.

On the other hand it is impressive that the DJI Neo comes with DJI O4 video transmission, has GPS built in and has fully covered props.

As the Drone Industry continues to evolve, we’re seeing a trend towards more capable, compact drones that can meet the demands of diverse use cases, from aerial photography to surveying and inspection tasks.
