Powering Drone Operations and More

The Power 2000 is a game-changer for drone professionals and recreational pilots. Its ability to charge a drone 24 times makes it ideal for extended field shoots, ensuring uninterrupted aerial photography or surveying.

“We’ve developed this higher-capacity model to meet user needs,” said Christina Zhang, Senior Director of Corporate Strategy at DJI, emphasizing its suitability for content production and outdoor adventures.

The station’s four AC output ports, four USB-C ports, and four USB-A ports allow simultaneous charging of drones, cameras, and laptops, streamlining workflows on location.

Technical Excellence in a Compact Design

Weighing in with a 32.6L body, the Power 2000 balances portability and power. It supports a continuous 3000W output, capable of running 99% of household appliances, from refrigerators to induction cookers, for 40 hours and 2.4 hours, respectively.

Expandable to 22,528Wh with up to ten 2048Wh Power Expansion Battery 2000 units, it’s a scalable solution for RV camping or emergency home backup. Its lithium ferro phosphate (LFP) battery retains 80% capacity after 4,000 cycles, equating to roughly 10 years of daily use. The intelligent battery management system (BMS) with 26 temperature sensors ensures safe operation up to 113°F (45°C), while a sub-nano coating protects against rain and salt spray.

Flexible Recharging Options

The Power 2000 offers multiple recharging methods tailored to user needs. Grid power delivers a full charge in 90 minutes at 2200W, while solar power, using the DJI Power 1.8kW Solar/Car Super Fast Charger, achieves a full charge in 75 minutes with 1800W input. Car charging takes 145 minutes, and intelligent hybrid recharging combines AC and DC for efficiency, prioritizing solar to reduce grid reliance.

“Our new Power 2000 and associated accessories have been designed to meet demanding power needs,” said Ferdinand Wolf, Product Experience Director at DJI, highlighting its optimized size-capacity ratio.

Industry Trends and User Benefits

The Power 2000 aligns with the rising demand for sustainable, portable energy in the drone and electric vehicle (EV) sectors. Unlike traditional gas generators, it’s fume-free, operates quietly at 30dB, and is safe for indoor use, making it a cleaner alternative for EV owners and drone operators. Its Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) mode ensures seamless power within 0.01 seconds during outages, critical for professional shoots or home reliability. The DJI Home app enables remote control, enhancing user convenience for managing power status and settings.
