Drone enthusiasts and professionals are gearing up for an exciting reveal at Freefly Fest 2025, where FreeFly Systems will showcase its new headquarters, HQ4, from a distance. Set for Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Lord Hill Farms in Monroe, Washington, the event offers a glimpse into the company’s ambitious expansion. Organized by Freefly Systems, a leader in rugged Drone Technology, the free, all-ages festival runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. PDT, with doors opening at 10:30 a.m. Tickets are available now, inviting attendees to explore the future of drone manufacturing.
A Leap Forward in Drone Innovation
The new head offices, located in Woodinville, WA, spans 70,000 square feet—over 6,500 square meters—up from the company’s previous 25,000-square-foot (2,300-square-meter) Woodinville facility.
Tabb Firchau, president of Freefly Systems, announced the move, stating, “Full reveal this year at Freefly Fest, but I believe this will be the most inspiring drone manufacturing center in North America.”
About 10 miles (16 kilometers) from the festival site, the new offices features polished concrete floors, new insulation covering 30% of the building, and a 45-kilowatt (about 60-horsepower) generator for windy days. The facility also includes 10-gigabit internet, 95CRI lighting, and taller ceilings with a new high-lift system, boosting production efficiency.
Technical upgrades, such as a machine tool move next week and glass door installation, support Freefly’s goal of crafting “world’s toughest drones.” The growth from a 3,000-square-foot (280-square-meter) Redmond shop to this hub reflects a decade of progress since starting in a garage.

The expansion opens jobs for drone assembly techs, battery assembly techs, customer support staff, electrical engineers, embedded systems engineers, motor control specialists, and manufacturing engineers.
