Quick update today: Another high quality picture of the DJI Mavic 4 showed itself this morning. It appears to be the official picture that will be used for the box of the DJI Mavic 4 Pro. It is the first picture of the Mavic 4, if you don’t count the software renderings that were probably leaked from the early DJI Fly App.

A better view on the LiDAR
If we take a close look on the high definition picture provided today (first spotted on X), later found in even higher definition an uploaded here on DroneXL by yours truly. We can see a close up image of the DJI Mavic 4 Pro, not longer hiding a vision sensor under the left propeller. This might be just another infrared system of DJI, but possibly could be the LiDAR system most of you have been waiting for.
We also get a closer look on the little rubber stand underneath the drone, this will protect the omnidirectional and newly designed camera system from hitting the ground while setting op before a flight.
Will the launch of the Mavic 4 Pro be delayed?
As I announced almost 2 weeks ago, the Mavic 4 Pro is scheduled to launch on the 24th of April, this year. But recently a DJI-dealer in China spread rumors the launch will be DELAYED. Rumor had it the drone wasn’t finished and is now delayed until May… When I first heard about this a week ago, I wasn’t to shocked and called it plausible simply because DJI is known to delay a big releases, and since this is their flagship drone, it is almost expected.
But don’t worry, I checked in with some sources and there is no new date announced. If the date changes I will let you all know as soon as I can.

What to expect next?
I am 99% sure the picture shown today will be on the side of the DJI Mavic 4 Box. But I’m 100% sure we will see a storm of leaked images in the coming weeks. Fly More Combo’s images will likely leak all at once. Will we see the long awaited DJI RC TRACK and better pictures of the DJI RC PRO 2?
Keep your eyes on the horizon! And as usual, I will keep you updated every step along the way via my articles here on DroneXL. Thanks for reading. Cheers! Jasper
